A shared room, often known as a dormitory or ‘dorm’ room, is a bedroom which you share with other guests staying at the property. The number of beds in a room will typically vary from 4 to 12 and will be shown in the description, e.g. ‘Dorm (6 bed)’. You can book as many beds as you need.
Some properties have male only and female only shared rooms. If this isn’t stated in the property information, though, you should assume that your room will be mixed (with both males and females).
Most dorms also share a bathroom with guests from other rooms, although if there is a private bathroom you will also see this in the description as ‘ensuite’ or ‘with bathroom’.
